Speech Therapy
Children are happy and well adjusted when they are able to properly communicate. For those who live with communication as a challenge, our speech and language pathologists evaluate and treat children with speech, language, and feeding challenges. Collaborating with the family, they utilize the best exercises and techniques to help improve the child’s expressive and receptive communication skills, and strengthen oral motor abilities. Our speech therapists always provide parents with the latest up to date information and studies, and when required, assist in obtaining assistive technology sing well-researched resources.
Nutrition Therapy
At Anastasia Care Early Intervention, we have a practical approach to care. A Registered Dietician focuses on meeting the individual needs of children and families by putting them at the center of care. Your RD performs a comprehensive nutrition assessment, plans and implements a nutrition intervention program, and evaluates your child’s progress throughout his or her time in early intervention. Your Nutrition Therapist is there to support you as a parent too, so that you can better help your child participate in all the activities and routines of daily life.
Occupational Therapy
A child's earliest years are filled with new stimulations and novel experiences that drive his or her cognitive, social, and physical growth. The first 3 years of life are a critical time for brain development, especially if a child is delayed or restricted in development. If a child needs support to develop optimally, Anastasia Care Early Intervention occupational therapy can help. Occupational therapy is one of several services that may be provided as part of early intervention. It benefits children with many specific conditions (e.g., Down syndrome, autism), in addition to children with no clear diagnosis.
Anastasia Care Early Intervention Social Workers will help you access and navigate community resources; childcare, doctor’s visits, free foods, clothing, toys, scheduling appointments, welfare resources, health insurance, mental services, parks/recreational activities, preschools, and other support systems. In some cases, they will guide you in filling the forms necessary to attain the maximum benefits for you and your child.
Social Work Therapy
Behavioral Therapy / Special Instructions
Our qualified, licensed energetic and engaging special instructors address the child’s overall growth and progress, and structure appropriate learning and developmental goals. With a focus on improving play skills, behavioral issues, social interactions, cognitive development, motor skills, and language, they will coordinate with the parents and other professionals to ensure that the child is benefiting from all the resources and programs available.
Physical Therapy
Anastasia's Early Intervention Program diagnoses, treats, and manages developmental and gross motor delays in infants and small children. The treatment plan focuses on improving gross motor skills, balance and coordination, and strength and endurance for ages 0-3 years so that the child can engage in age-appropriate activities and self-play. In addition to the therapy services provided, physical therapists will introduce parents to resources and further reading, and help make decisions regarding adaptive equipment when and if needed.
